This level of qualification gives a cadet the skills required to be a radio operator for a flight of cadets on an exercise. A good example of this is a flight radio operator at RIAT. Completion of this level results in the awarding of a bronze certificate and badge.

To train cadets with a more detailed understanding of voice procedures (radio communications).

All enrolled cadets.


Must have completed the Basic Radio Operator and Cyber Awareness Blue Badge course.

Minimum 12 hours, including 2 hours of practical exercises.

This course is normally organised at sector or wing level.
